Step #1: Surf the Web.
The best way
to see how your company should use the Web is to see how your
competition is using it. Go to any search engine (i.e. Google.com)
and type in words that best describe your company's industry
or products.
Research your
competition. See what your competition is doing to attract
your customers, what they are saying to your customers, and
how they present their products and services. They are probably
researching your company, too.
|
Step #2: Create your own web site.
Whether you
have the technical savvy to create your own site or not, you
may have some ideas about how you would like it to look. If
not, then you might know what information you want to relay
to your customers.
Start by writing
down the basics, such as your company's name and contact information.
Next, write a description of your company's products and services.
Then, determine what message you would like to convey to your
customer.
|
Step #3: Build your web site.
Although some
companies may build their own sites, it can be a very time
consuming venture. The more complex a site is, the more it
can cost. You may find that building a web site yourself is
not cost effective. Most companies focus on their own business,
rather than entering into the Web business, too.
